Liddington Hill

Another little experimental picture.  In real life I had glorious golden evening light, and an almost clear, deep blue sky...that was, 'til I got my hands on it      :o)

Okay, Chris. What did you do!!! It reminds me of a moonlit night! Totally.
Chris Macnamara: Lots of dodging and burning! It was lovely.
Really cool experiment.
Chris Macnamara: Cheers Bridge.

This is very effective. Brilliant effects.. Okay so dodging and burning...right! Very cool
Chris Macnamara: Yup, burn the mids and shadows, dodge the highlights. Thanks.
I thought this was a moonlight shot when I saw it first. Just shows you what you can do! It hardly seems worth going out at night if you can get these effects just by dodging and burning! Great shot.

Chris Macnamara: Lol. Night photography is really difficult too, just look at Eddy Rheads stuff. I could never do that. Don't have the patience.
I thought at first looking at the thumbnail you'd dabbled with infra red. Now looking at the image it seems to suggest an almighty storm imminent but details are at odds with that. It's quite graphical in nature. I like it.
Chris Macnamara: IR looks interesting, but this was a straight PS job! Thanks Jose. How's that dog?
Good processing, it looks as though a storm has just passed and the sky is that lovely gray with a wek sunlight in front of it.
Chris Macnamara: Cheers Les. As you can probably now see, there was in fact no storm, just a bit of heavy PSing.
Looks familiar, touch of deja vu! Is this an IR experiment?
Chris Macnamara: Familiar? I have done a couple of these over processed shots Alistair, but maybe someone else, yourself even?
I really like this, moody and sinister. Lots of plain sky seems to help for a change.
Chris Macnamara: Cheers Nigel. I am still not sure about the little bits of cloud.
