photoblog image Geese

Geese

From the Uffington Show. This guy flies with his geese. I think he is training them for some reason...rerelease into the wild?. It was a pretty amazing thing to see.

Although it looks fine in mono it was not intended to be, and the reason it is that some muppet shot JPGs, and left the white balance setting on tungsten.  For 250 shots! Eejit!!!

Nice catch!
Chris Macnamara: Thank you Martin.
This is fantastic. What a sight! It does look very nice in mono, whether intended or not.
Chris Macnamara: Thanks Red Pen. As Ginnie said, a happy mistake.

It's GREAT in mono, Chris, and makes a happy "mistake."

This reminds me of the movie made in 1996 called "Fly Away Home" about the 14-year-old girl who helped a flock of orphaned geese find their way home. It was wonderful.

Chris Macnamara: Vaguely remember the movie Ginnie. This guy is called Christian Moullec, in case you wanted to have a look for him. Thanks for the comment.
An award winning photograph, if ever I saw one. (:o)
Chris Macnamara: Rosalyn, you flatterer! I'm blushing now!
