Worthing Beach Shelter

A series of 5 pictures taken on Monday evening in Worthing. Possibly the windiest place on Earth. Worthing, on a windy, and rather chilly Monday evening, really doesn't have a great deal going for it, but I managed to get a couple of what I think are quite interesting perspectives on an English seaside town. You, of course, may disagree.

I think I'm going to ask  Eddy Rhead to write my descriptions for me.

Why are you languishing so far down here? This is a great shot - it conjures up exactly the slightly run-down feeling of so much of the British seaside, especially outside the peak season. There is a nostalgic, melancholic air about it.

Chris Macnamara: thanks Ingrid. Probably because I am unable to spend hours at a time giving feedback to everybody, every day. Anyway, don't get me started about Shutterchances algorithm for deciding what's at the top, and what's at the bottom. It should be absolutely random, so that same names aren't constantly at the top, but I've said this before, and had some agreement from members, but no change. Right, I can get off my soap box now!
The British holidaymaker huddled in the shelter with overcoat and scarf. " It's really bracing here". I hate the south coast with it's stony beaches and grotty towns like Worthing. This picture does it full justice. Great!
Chris Macnamara: Cheers Bill. Hope you enjoy the rest of this miserable series wink
I like, Chris. But there is something does not finish to me convincing and I do not know to say it! smile
