photoblog image Empire State from The Hudson

Empire State from The Hudson

This was shot during a trip where we did all the touristy stuff we could. We'd never been to NYC, and I'd never been to the US before, so it was all a bit awesome for us.

One of the best things we did was the 3 hour boat trip all around Manhattan Island. Tip: for anyone else doing this, try to sit on the right hand side of the boat. Although you are further away from the island, you go round ant-clockwise, so you don't interfere with anyones view if you need to stand up to get a picture.

This is the Empire State Building, from the boat, and you can see the top of the Chrysler building, on the left. I have done this in a slight duotone.

I like the tones in this shot Chris,it really works well.
Great experience. You have reallly done wonders with this shot.. not like the usual. Love the duotone and the frame. It looks like the 60's.

Nicely done sepia effect!
Great sepia shot giving such a depth to the picture
Beautiful crisp image. I love the tones. (:o)
I agree nice and crisp and good toning, I think it's nicely ironic there is a lot of sky for a city full of scrapers.

Perfectly classic and iconic for both buildings, Chris. I love your sepia treatment.
